I would like to share some of the flies I was useing during the year, they worked very effectively for me,They are the old relyable phesant tail nymph, the shuttlecock and sedge larve, the beads are made from tungsten on the two nymphs. The shuttlecock is an emerger pattern I use all the time.

                                              Fisheries awareness week Navan 2012

One of the few trout i caught when demonstrating nymphing.

I am glad to have been there today in navan showing people new methods of catching trout. There was a good turn out today young and old.I hope people took away some of the skills they learned today and will put them into good practice.
Nymphing is one of the most effective ways of catching trout. If you want numbers of trout this is the method.
Newzeland style is another very effective method for catching trout, its a fun method to fish, you can catch fish either on the dry fly or the nymph hanging below the dry fly.

Anyone who would like to learn these methods, contact me and we can organise tuition for you.
